Follow the below steps to quickly and easily perform a factory reset to your RedPort Optimizer. This guide can be used for the following Optimizer models: wXa-122, wXa-203, wXa-213, and wXa-223.
If you are experiencing technical difficulties with your RedPort Optimizer or Halo Long Range Wi-Fi Extender Kit, the first troubleshooting step we recommend is to complete a factory reset. This may also be helpful if you have not used your hardware for a season or two.
Please note, completing a reset to your Optimizer will return all settings to factory default. This includes any firewall rules and the network name and password.
Steps to Complete Factory Reset
- Locate the small reset button on the bottom or back of the Optimizer. On the wXa-122 model, the button is red and is on the bottom of the unit. On the wXa-203, wXa-213, and wXa-223 models, the button is on the back, beside the power port.
- Once you locate the button, you will need to the hold it down for at least 15 seconds with a pen or paperclip.
- Once you release the button, the lights on the unit should flash for a few minutes. You will notice that the Optimizer's Wi-Fi network will disappear and reappear from your list of available networks. This could take up to 5 minutes.
- When you notice that the Optimizer's network has reappeared, you can reconnect to it and log into the user interface at 192.168.10.1. At this point, the reset is complete.
